Excellent

I discovered her when a self help site featured her writings.

Florence, in her writing is a very conscious, and enlightened woman who uses metaphor to great effect. This is four books in one volume, and its value way exceeds the price.

Many of her examples are derived from the Bible, and adapted to our personal situations. One such case is blowing down the walls of Jericho. The walls of Jericho represent our fears which need to be dissolved. I feel like she opened up my mind with some of these metaphors, and I nderstood them in a new way.

She is a metaphysical writer, and her wisdom, and sage advice permeates. One piece of advice is not to talk to everyone about your business, and plans. This, I found helpful because I had made the mistake of talking about it to the wrong person. The world is full of wet blanket people who will instil doubt in your goals. Doubt divides the path.

Her writing style is fascinating and never dull, and reminds me a little of Napoleon Hill. I hope you found this review helpful.

One of the many stories in this book is the inner meaning of Snow White, and Ali Baba.

The only caveat in this book is, if you are resistant to the Bible, you may not like this book so much, as it does have a strong spiritual element.

There are also many affirmations used throughout this book. My favorite one is: That which I seek is also seeking me.

I whole heartedly recommend this book.

The only book you need.

This is my go to book and bible for life. I have been practicing metaphysics and law is attraction for many years and have not read anything that comes close to the quality and information of this book. Not even the greatest famous spiritual advisors today comes close to the information Shinn offers. Louise Hay of Hay House has stated that Shinn is her early influences. This book has changed my life and sums up even better everything I have ever learned. The best part was that it is such easy reading, simple writing and not only does it give you clear instructions but provides many examples of other peoples stories and how it fits. I gave this book to many people who are all now obsessed with this book and finally are taking the path to the life they always wanted. Exceptional!!!

If you have to read one book in your entire life, get this one

Listen, Florence was way ahead of her time. This book has literally changed my life, I purchased a print copy for my brother, mother, best friend, is a life changing book, but what I did realized is that some will not be ready for this, so hopefully if you area point in your life where everything you are doing is just not working, then you may be ready for this book. I think that most people like to complain, do the same thing and expect different results, this book is not it. It will change your life. I LOVE THIS BOOK, read the game of life twice now and are moving to the other sessions of the book, your spiritual growth will increase 200%. Good luck and I hope your life does a 360 like mine did... I now live my life exactly how I was meant to live it, wish I found this in my 20's, would have same me so much trouble, so much.

Piggback & Ubisoft -- once again set the bar! With the latest book of theirs, I'm amazed at the level of detail and beauty that they put into their Strat Guides. They are as beautiful as the games they represent and teach about. I highly recommend this product. This is the case with all of the books thus far in the AC series (especially starting with ACII) -- detailed and just a beauty of a book. If you have earlier AC games and wonder about whether or not to get the guides, I'd enthusiastically say YES! You may think you've done everything, but chances are: you didn't. Also, the book really goes into the Story so well. Just as important of what the book explains is what it protects. It tries very hard to not be a spoiler. It gives just enough hints generally for you to find your own way without killing your fun of discovery

ANOTHER OUTSTANDING GUIDE FOR THE ASSASSINS CREED SERIES!

I just finished playing this game, and enjoyed it so much more because of this detailed guide. It is based on the continuing story of Ezio, the Italian Assassin. Ezio has been in 3 of the 5 Assassins Creed games starting with Assassins Creed II, where we see him being born and beginning his carreer as an Assassin, now in this story line, he is the Master Assassin leading others in their quest to defeat the Templars and their vile plans. I bought the guide as new from an individual seller and it arrived in pristine condition still in the wrapper and I would use this seller again anytime.

Because I enjoy the history

I am a huge fan of the Assassins Creed games, even though I came to them very late. Because I enjoy the history, art work and the fantasy that is mixed into such real story lines I can't imagine just playing the game without a guide! My wish is that the producers will go back to the Ezio Auditore format which gave spoken descriptions of the history,locations and "villains" within the game, I would be lost without the guide to help explore each and every segment of the game and it is wonderful to the skill of the artists in mapping each conception and creation!

What a total waste of money

What a total waste of money. I can't believe the hyperbolic reviews of this book - they must be from all of this friends in the industry. You get no insight into the art or craft of editing, and if I knew that the title "In the Blink of an Eye" was going to be literal - he devotes a large part of the book to discussing how humans blinking is like editing - I would have definitely passed this one up. Half of the book is an afterwards about "digital filmmaking" that tells you nothing other than "digital filmmaking is cheaper, and easier!" This book needs to be put out to pasture.

Excellent and original when first published and maybe when republished, but there is only one point. Learning how to apply it is everything and this can only be done over time and practice.

I'm still trying to figure out why some of the people here have given this book negative reviews. Of course, I respect people's opinions and the fact they might not necessarily jibe with my own all the time but I have to say that for anyone to say that they thought the book was a waste of time is just dumbfounding to me.

This book is a transcript of a lecture given by Walter Murch, award winning editor of several classic films, most notably The Conversation, The English Patient and Apocalypse Now. The first thing that hit me about the book was how well written it was. It's an easy read but Murch is eloquent and engaging enough to make this an extremely enjoyable read through.

Anyone looking for a book describing to you exactly how to edit a film is going to be disappointed with this because that's not what this book is about. Murch assumes that you already know how to edit, at least in the technical sense. It's about the ideas and philosophies that go into it and how to prepare for it beforehand. Anybody can learn how to edit a film but to do it in a fresh and exciting way that make the story of the film you are editing flow naturally and logically is what Murch is attempting to speak of. His theory about the blink of an eye (which I will leave you to read about, if you are at all interested) is something I never thought of and actually served to make me reconsider my views on editing.

Murch is an old school editor but he takes the time to praise the move from analog to digital editing in the book's second half, an inevitable change that has been a long time coming. It's nice to see someone from the old school embracing the new technologies and give a candid write up about the systems pros and cons.

I found this book to be very well put together and I really enjoyed reading all he had to say. It's further proof that we need to heed the words of the masters before they are no longer with us as I can barely imagine any of the young, fresh out of film school editors having anything this meaningful and important to say about the editing process.

Nikita Prokhorov is a graphic designer and a former college professor of graphic design. He has been freelancing as a designer for the last ten years and has worked as an advertising designer for Scuba Diving Magazine, as well as for several firms in NYC, where he is currently residing. His work has been published in HOW Magazine, Logolounge, and several other collections of logo/identity books. For the last 3 years, he has been developing content for (as well as running and maintaining) Ambigram.com, the largest ambigram community in the world. In his time off from graphic design, he pursues his other creative passions, which are ambigrams and tessellations.

Great fun!

If you're already an ambigram fan you'll definitely enjoy the many examples in this book, and if you've never heard of ambigrams you'll get a great introduction here... either way you're in for a treat! This book includes a couple of the greatest ambigram artists on the planet and others who are not well known but produced some great stuff. You get to see the process they went through to create their ambigrams and read the comments by the pros.

There are even tips for readers who might get inspired to make their own ambigrams. Granted you might never reach the level of genius displayed by the professionals in this book, but they weren't born knowing how to create ambigrams, so why not give it a try? I haven't finished reading every word of text in the book yet, but this is more the kind of book where you want to browse through it and go "Ooh! Look at this one! Look at that one!" and then go back and read more details about how they were accomplished.

It's all printed on high quality paper in full color.

Awesome book!!

It is an awesome (and apparently first of it's kind) collection of some of the finest ambigrams created by some of the most talented designers in the world. To a layman or a professional designer, it provides a detailed introduction into the world of the ambigram and the people who create it. It informs, amazes and entertains! The book is in full colour, the paper is of very good quality and the entire book oozes style!

Nikita has produced A highly insightful look at the world of ambigrams. As an ambigram designer himself, he explains The various different styles and a brief look at the creation of an ambigrams. The book focuses on special indepth case studies of designers from their starting point to the final finished pieces, each one reviewed by renowned typographers, as well as a varied look at ambigrams from designers around the world. If your looking for inspiration on ambigrams, typography, lettering or just want to know whatbambigrams are, then this will be a great addition to any library as there are few books on the subject (John Langdon's WORDPLAY being another).

Very interesting and highly recommended.
