Remember Me, by Sharon Sala

Clay and Frankie LeGrand are deliriously happy newlyweds. But when Frankie suddenly disappears, Clay must deal with his broken heart, as well as his change in status from respected construction foreman to prime suspect.

Then, as suddenly as she had disappeared, Frankie is back. Clay finds her at home in bed, just where he left her two long years ago, as if nothing has happened.

There are sinister clues: a tattoo on Frankie’s neck, needle marks on her arm, and a powerful man who has been trying to control her since childhood. But though her memory is lost, the part of her that matters most—her will to survive—is not. Wherever she has been, she has still found her way back to Clay. But can they recover the safety and security they both deserve?

From Publishers Weekly
In Sala's latest romantic suspense (after Reunion), a needle-tracked and tattooed Frankie LeGrand wakes up one morning to find that she's been missing for the past two yearsAand she has no memory of where she's been or what she's done. When Frankie vanished, her husband, Clay, became the target of police scrutiny for foul play, even though their marriage had been a peaceful one. Sala's spellbinding narrative follows the reunited Denver couple as they repair their marriage and try to understand what happened to Frankie. Through vague flashes and unsettling nightmares, Frankie slowly begins to remember the missing years and a powerful man from her childhood who is intent, even now, on possessing her at any cost. Veteran romance writer Sala lives up to her reputation with this well-crafted thriller. (Dec.)

An Amnesia Plot That Works!
By Robin Wilson
Francesca and Clay LeGrand are in love and still starry-eyed when the day after their first anniversary, she vanishes leaving suspicion, disbelief, and grief behind. Her husband can't accept that she left willingly, and the police and some of the community can't accept that her husband is innocent of blame. Two years of living hell pass for Clay until the day he returns home from work to find Francesca asleep in their bed with no memory of the missing two years.
Amnesia stories can be laughably bad or brilliantly written. Remember Me happens to be brilliant. Sala creates a spider web of suspense with each piece adding more and more intrigue to the plot as the characters race to the finish line to save Frankie before she disappears again...this time forever. Francesca and Clay's love is palpable at times, and I laughed and cried right along with them. Remember Me has "edge of your seat" excitement and one of the best epilogues that I've ever read. It's a keeper.

Moving and memorable romance
By Bonnie Gilbert
Frankie and Clay LeGrand were still newlyweds when one day Clay comes home from work to find his wife missing. Vanished, without a trace. A broken coffee cup and blood in the bathroom were the only traces of her. Clay is frantic to find his wife, but the police think that she either ran away or that Clay killed her. For two years Clay is the main suspect of his wife's disappearance.
Two years later Clay comes home from work to find his wife in his bed sleeping. When she awakens she doesn't realize that two years has passed and thinks everything is as it was. More alarming is the tattoo she now has and the track marks on her arms. Where has she been? Frankie has amnesia and Clay doesn't trust his wife.
Determined to prove that she did not leave Clay on purpose, Frankie tries to unravel the past two years. Only she finds more questions than answers and a distrustful husband. Where was she? What could she have been doing? Who was she living with? Obvious by the expensive clothes and money she had on her when she came home she was being taken care of somehow, but by who?
Slowly Clay and Frankie learn to accept that past two years and love again, but the past is always there to haunt them. Will the person who took Frankie come back for her again?
From the author of Sweet Baby and Reunion, Sharon Sala once again writes a moving and memorable romance with characters that come alive and really make the reader care for them.

Sala Soars!
By A Customer
In "Remember Me", Ms. Sala gives us a complete, intriguing, and loving story. Francesca and Clay LaGrand simply soar as compelling characters.
Several times while reading, I found myself clutching this smooth book to my chest and questioning, ".....would I, could I, be THAT strong if I lost two years of my life & all my loved ones thought I had been dead....and then to get everything back, I had to overcome a stranger, a horrifying stalker, could I do that?....".
This is a fast paced read. Very well written for the genre. Rich, textural & moving. Read it & remember its lessons well.
